Pregnancy

Whether it is your first pregnancy or you are an experienced parent, there are many important checks we need to do to ensure the health of you and your baby.
As soon as you suspect you are pregnant (or have a positive home pregnancy test) – please start taking a folic acid supplement and book an appointment so that Dr Jasmine can confirm your pregnancy and chat about the plan for further investigations and referral to appropriate antenatal care.
Some areas to be covered on your first consult include:
- Due date (from the date of the first day of your last menstrual period)
- History of any previous pregnancies and their outcomes
- Your medical history
- Medications
- Smoking, Drug and Alcohol use
- Home life and risk of domestic violence
- Mental Health
- Options for first trimester screening
- Options for antenatal care
