About

Dr Jasmine believes that everyone deserves to have a doctor who listens and cares about their wellbeing.  She places emphasis on relationships and creating a non-judgemental environment for people to share their stories.

Since becoming a General Practitioner, Dr Jasmine has developed an interest in women’s health, family planning, contraception, sexual health and gender affirming care/transgender health.  She does however continue to enjoy the variety of general practice, and cares for patients of all ages, genders and backgrounds.

Growing up on the Gold Coast, Jasmine had a keen interest in reading and learning, as well as enjoying nature and the outdoors.  From a young age she was very social and thrived on listening to and telling stories, and meeting new people.

This interest in learning new things led her to university, where she studied her Bachelor of Science at the University of Queensland, Brisbane.  After working as a research scientist, she realised that her desire to connect with people would be better served by a different career, so after some international travel she returned to university for further study.

Dr Jasmine achieved her Doctorate of Medicine at Griffith University, Gold Coast in 2014.  Her first job as a junior doctor was at Mackay Base Hospital, and over her hospital based years she gained experience in many areas of medicine, but found a particular interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, completing a Diploma of Women’s Health (DRANZCOG).

General practice was where Jasmine thought her personal qualities and skills were best suited, and she completed her Fellowship training in 2020.

Dr Jasmine practices at Caneland Medical Centre in Mackay, Queensland.  She is currently taking new patients and is always keen to meet with people to discuss their health needs.
